Since 1931, five generations of the BROTTE family have passionately crafted refined wines with remarkable fruitiness and spiciness. The identity of Grenache, combined with an in-depth knowledge of terroirs and a meticulous winemaking process predominantly in century-old oak casks, gives Brotte wines their unique style.

The La Fiole du Pape is a non-vintage blend of approximately 30% reserve wines and younger vintages. It does not reflect a specific vintage but rather showcases the characteristics of its terroir and the Maison’s production choices. This wine is designed for immediate enjoyment or can be aged for up to seven years in optimal conditions. Best appreciated while young, the year of bottling is crucial, hence the advantage of sourcing directly from the producer.

The vineyards of La Fiole span over 350 hectares in the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the diversity of soils imparts each Fiole with its character and authenticity. The varied terroirs provide complex and balanced blends:

Sandy soils: Offer finesse and fresh fruit aromas.

Limestone: Provides minerality and freshness.

Safres: Contribute roundness, body, and aromatic notes of dark fruits.

Rolled pebbles: On clay and sand, they add fullness, length, and structure.

Separate vinification of the various grape varieties is followed by a meticulous selection and blending of 30-40% reserve wines to achieve a consistently round and mature Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
