La Fiole Réserve Côtes-du-Rhône Villages (avec étui) 2021 Rouge

Created in 1952 by Charles Brotte, the unique shape of La Fiole du Pape represents the morphology of a vine affected by the Mistral wind. Subsequently, La Fiole Réserve was born.

THE WINE

🍇 Grapes: Grenache, Syrah.

🍷 Color: Ruby with violet reflections.

👃 Nose: Intense and complex. The nose is marked by aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice, spices, and white pepper.

👄 Palate: Blackcurrant, blackberry, sweet spices, black pepper, licorice. Excellent balance and good length.

🍽️ Pairings: Serve at 16-17 °C. Enjoy with lacquered duck, grilled ribeye steak, aged cheeses, or a dark chocolate fondant.

⌛ Aging Potential: 5-7 years.

LOCATION, TERROIR & VINIFICATION

The grapes come from plots of various Côtes-du-Rhône Villages. Each grape variety is vinified separately to respect the integrity of each.

The vinification process includes a long maceration and malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. The aging lasts for 12 months in century-old barrels and concrete tanks, with an additional month of bottle aging.
