Located in Laudun-l'Ardoise (Gard, 30), between Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Lirac, Château de Bord covers 22 hectares and features the remains of a medieval castle overlooking the vineyards.
Terroir: Terraced vineyard on well-drained, clay-limestone soils, perfectly south-facing.
History: This terroir, exploited since Antiquity, was owned by the Bishops of Uzès in the 11th century and the Count of Toulouse, before being abandoned after the French Revolution. It was purchased in 1991 by the Brotte family.
Vinification: The grape varieties are vinified separately to preserve the expression of each. Aging in amphorae and French oak barrels adds complexity and finesse to the wine.
Nose: A floral and fruity bouquet with notes of citrus and almond.
Palate: Fresh and round attack, with elegant structure and great length. Harmonious finish with floral and fruity hints.
Serving Temperature: 13 °C.
Decanting: No special requirements, but enjoy after a few minutes of aeration.
