Terroir & Winemaking

Located at the foot of the old village of Cairanne, the Domaine Grosset vineyard spans 25 hectares. The soil is a mix of gray marl, sand, and pebbly clay, which provides a balance of freshness and aromatic power. The Mediterranean climate ensures optimal ripening of the Grenache grapes.

The vineyard is cultivated using sustainable methods with manual harvesting. After full destemming, a 3-week maceration takes place. Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache wines are aged in French oak barrels (1/3 new, 1/3 one wine, 1/3 two wines), while other Grenache varieties are aged in concrete tanks to retain their fruitiness. Bottling occurs in March after over a year of aging.
