Insulae 002 – French Single Malt Whisky 46% – 50 cl
A bold and refined French whisky, Insulae 002 draws its inspiration from the islands (Insulae in Latin), but with the warmth and creativity of the Provençal terroir.
🍇 Origin & Design
-
Made by Les Chineurs de Malts , artisanal distillers located between L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and Le Thor, in Provence.
-
Numbered vintage: only 1,660 bottles of this edition were produced, highlighting its limited nature.
-
Aging: blend of three different types of casks — an ex-Cognac cask, an ex-Bourbon cask, and a white wine cask from the Rhône Valley.
-
Reduced to 46%, achieved gradually according to the seasons and tastings to preserve the aromatic balance.
-
Finish: unfiltered, cold-processed, natural color.
👃 Aromatic profile & tasting
-
Colour : golden yellow.
-
Nose : yellow fruit (peach, pear), floral and medicinal notes, vanilla from ex-Bourbon casks and a light woodiness.
-
Palate : a rich attack, with brown sugar, fruit in syrup, orange peel.
-
Final note : fresh, resinous, mentholated, with a nice length and finesse.
-
Serving suggestion : pleasant as an aperitif or digestif.
